GRIDLINK is a full service utility contractor offering effective solutions for public and private infrastructure challenges. Incorporated in 2000, Grid Link provides complete answers for customers with High Voltage, Telecommunication and Vegetation Management questions.

Being centrally located in Northwestern Ontario, Grid Link can mobilize operations effectively to all regions in the Midwestern United States and throughout Canada. Our dedicated management team coupled with the forces of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers brings experience and an unparalleled commitment to safety combined with a thirst for efficiency that is reflected throughout operations.

With over 80% of Grid Link's staff trained to the level of ‘Construction Health and Safety Officer’, Grid Link has a safety culture unparalleled. Since operations began in 2000 Grid Link has had one lost time injury, an enviable safety record by anyone’s standards. Our dedication to the quest for zero injuries is having a measurable effect on our safety performance; we are proving the theory that ‘safety pays’.

We are pleased to announce that Grid Link is the first Northern Ontario firm to receive the Certificate of Recognition (COR) certification in October 2012 and featured in the Magazine spring issue. Becoming COR certified demonstrates that we have developed and implemented an extensive health and safety management system, which is evaluated annually by a team of champions through a comprehensive auditing system. COR is recognized nationally and extends our confidence to buyers of construction that Grid Link’s safety performance is priority.

Our dedication with the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA) ZeroQuest program has rewarded us with the Sustainability Level Award on September 6, 2013. Each level of the ZeroQuest program builds upon the other, recognizing areas for improvement in the health and safety program, establishing objectives, and committing to the implementation and development to ultimately achieve excellence in a custom health and safety management system. We recognize that safety is a lifetime engagement to which we are fully committed.

Grid Link has been awarded the R.H. (Hugh) Carroll Award by the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO). The award was created in 1999 by ECAO to pay tribute to the member firms who best exemplify dedication and commitment to safety as exhibited by R.H. (Hugh) Carroll through his years of service in the industry. The winners were announced at ECAO's Annual General Meeting on June 16, 2012 and is featured in The Ontario Electrical Contractor magazine. Grid Link was the recipient contractor with up to 50,000 working person hours, and has been winner in this category 5 straight years.
