01. Hiring Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Duties:

Grid Link has a full-time vacancy for an Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Grid Link is a local Utility Contractor, operating in Thunder Bay since the year 2000. Automotive Mechanic duties include:

$38.00-$41.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Thunder Bay, ON P7E 6W1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Mechanical: 3 years (preferred)

Duties:

Installing, maintaining and repairing overhead and underground electrical systems, including power lines and cables, and street lighting systems. Connecting and insulating conductors and related wiring. Climbing poles or operating hydraulic buckets when working on poles and towers.

Requirements:

Red Seal Interprovincial Power Line Technician Certificate. AZ Driver’s Licence. Proficient with Class 4 Rubber Glove Techniques.

Location:

Based out of our Thunder Bay office.

Hours:

40 hours per week with potential for overtime.

Compensation:

This is a Union position, compensation is consistant with the IBEW/ECAO Collective agreement.
