Safety

SAFE. SOLID.

We believe the prevention of workplace illnesses and incidents are the key to our safety success.

Our Commitment to Health & Safety
It is our daily goal and mission that every employee returns home as safely as they arrived to work. Employee involvement is key, and every GRIDLINK employee participates in pre-job training and planning before any work begins on a project. Focusing on the steps of the job tasks, identifying immediate and potential hazards, risk management and hazard control, it is a dedicated team effort of all employees to keep everyone, including the community, and our valued customers, safe.
Our Safety Culture
Leaders play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a solid safety culture but it is the group effort of values, goals, attitudes and dedication directing the triumph of GRIDLINK’s safe, solid culture. Defining responsibilities, enforcing accountability, strong communication, education and mentoring are major forces in building the confidence and trust essential in our day-to-day operations. Vigilant evaluation and implementation of company and industry-wide best practices ensures we maintain the absolute highest safety standards to protect our workers, our customers and the community. GRIDLINK aims to be the safest contractor in the markets we serve.

GRIDLINK was the first Northern Ontario firm to receive the Certificate of Recognition (COR) certification in October 2012.

COR certification demonstrates an extensive health and safety management system, evaluated annually by a team of champions through a comprehensive auditing system. COR is recognized nationally and extends our confidence to buyers of construction, that GRIDLINK’s safety management system is the highest priority.
GRIDLINK was the winner of the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association’s (IHSA) highest attainable achievement; the ZeroQuest Sustainability Level Award. Proudly we also received recognition from the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO), by receiving the esteemed R.H. (Hugh) Carroll Award, for 7 consecutive years.
